4 Mile Reserve

4 Mile Reserve

Four Mile Reserve

Last modified: March 2, 2009 - 3:00 PM

The Barwon River is a mecca for many modern-day fishermen.

The Four Mile Camping Reserve is located 4 miles to the east of Brewarrina on the Carinda Road. The Four Mile is a great spot to fish and swim as the river is about 40’ deep and the brown waters of the Barwon River hold the secrets of the ‘Rainbow Serpent’. The Four Mile has a boat ramp, boat dock, toilets, cold showers, BBQ area and a spot for the camp fire. This spot by the river is very popular with caravaners and campers who enjoy the solitude of the local birdlife at dawn and dusk or you can usually find a like minded traveller to share a refreshment or yarn. There is no fee for camping on the Four Mile – we ask only that you take care of this beautiful spot so that the next person can enjoy it as much as you, oh and don’t tell too many people about it…..shhhhhh
